A Broader Vision. Stronger Businesses for Good.

It's a new chapter for Criterion (formerly Criterion Nonprofit). Along with a new brand look, we're sharing some of the thinking that drove our evolution, including how we understand our role, our work, and the organizations we serve.
It all started with one question: "What are the greatest barriers to the success for mission-driven organizations today?"
Over the course of 12 months, we collected data and feedback, met with community members, business leaders, and people from across the U.S. who are committed to doing good work.
We listened. We read. Then we listened some more.
The strategic and business planning we’ve done this past year include a deep dive into beliefs and practices we think are essential to nonprofit and mission-driven consulting work.
Those beliefs are not separate from how we work. They inform the principles, practices, and approaches we bring to every engagement.
Today, Criterion is a strategy, advisory, and consulting firm that helps nonprofits and other mission-driven organizations close the gap between what they want to accomplish and what they have in place to make it happen.
We're doing that through approaches and innovations that are distinctly Criterion, informed by nearly 30 years of nonprofit-sector experience and nearly 20 years of consulting, and drawing from strong practices across both the nonprofit and private sectors.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more about the beliefs, principles, and ideas shaping this next chapter.
Welcome to Criterion. We invite you to join us on this journey to Build Good, Better.
